Authentication & Verification
Every item offered by Stewart York Heritage Luxury has passed our multi-point authentication review. Here's exactly how we do it.
Item Received
All items are received at our facility and logged into our tracking system. Provenance documentation (receipts, certificates, prior ownership records) is collected and preserved.
Primary Inspection
A category specialist conducts a primary physical examination. For watches: movement, case, dial, hands, crown, serial number. For bags: hardware, stitching, lining, date codes. For fragrances: batch codes, fill level, packaging.
Detail Verification
High-magnification inspection of authentication markers specific to each brand and model. We check font rendering, hardware casting quality, stitching patterns, and all micro-level features that counterfeiters get wrong.
Documented Photography
Comprehensive photography session covering all sides, authentication markers, serial numbers, condition issues, and any included accessories. All photos retained on file post-sale.
Pass / Fail Decision
A binary authentication decision is made. Items that pass are listed. Items that fail — for any reason — are returned to the seller. We do not relist failed items under any circumstances.
Certificate Issued
Every listed item receives a SYHL Certificate of Authenticity stating the item description, our authentication finding, the specialist's name, and the date of examination.
If We Got It Wrong, You Get Your Money Back
In the unlikely event that an item you purchased from us does not pass independent authentication, contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will investigate, and if the item is determined to be non-genuine, we will issue a full refund. No arguments. No exceptions.
